25 years ago, this night, the Communist government of Romania shot and killed in cold blood, in the University Square of Bucharest the people who were protesting against the Ceausescu regime. Every year a religious sermon is held around the cross raised in the memory of the heroes who died that night that triggered the Romanian revolution, turned unfortunately “coup d’etat” by the second tier of the Romanian Communists lead by a Russian agent who became the first president of the country. The results of that failed turn of events can be felt even today in a country marred by corruption and mafia-style economic interests.
