The Cherry Blossom Festival was packed to the limit with attendees but hardly and sakura on site. The longer winter did not take in consideration the Brooklyn Botanical Garden schedule of events and failed to deliver the trees in blossom. The show was saved by the prunes and peaches that paraded their white flowers to the delight of many who wanted to enjoy some kind, any kind, of flowers in bloom even if not the right ones.
However, the recent popularity of the festival became hard to bear. All areas of the gardens are crowded to the brim and there are long lines, sometimes close to one hour, anywhere you need to go including to all indoor exhibits and events.
