Tarrywile old farm, Danbury, CT

Tarrywile was once one of the most successful dairy farm owned by Charles Darling Park, a rags-to-riches type of entrepreneurial guy, who bought the farm from Dr. William Wile at the beginning of the 20th century.


Tarrywile Park

The farm was converted today in a sprawling local park with lots of hiking trails on beautiful meadows and dense forests all surrounding three lakes.


Tarrywile Mansion, Danbury, CT

Built in 1896 for Dr. William C. Wile, Danbury’s first medical examiner and principal benefactor of Danbury Hospital. Tarrywile Mansion, a sprawling 23 room home, sits atop a ridge known once as “Cedar Grove”, in Danbury, CT.
