Finally, a beautiful Sunday good for a walk on the beach. Took advantage of the low tide and walked all the way on the Stepping Stone beach in the tip of the peninsula where is located Great Neck, the first township outside New York City. A stroll on the beach off Stepping Stone Park is always charming; the beach is completely deserted with only the hawks or seagulls making home in the poles sticking out of the water. The standing piers are waiting their boats and the broken ones wait for another winter to completely collapse. At the end of the walk, right in front, are the spires of a distant Manhattan, a world apart and far away.
